The Water Group is the lead agency for water in NSW. They work with the water sector to ensure a strategic approach to managing regional and metropolitan water levels, and support sustainable environments, economies and societies. They also manage the state’s surface and groundwater and develop and implement plans for water security in NSW.

It use live data from the sensor networks at the park and weather forecasts from the Bureau of Meteorology to predict soil moisture, optimise the accuracy of simulations and predict optimal irrigation schedules.
